Important Safety Information

Contraindications common to many laser treatments also apply to Clear + Brilliant® treatments. Pre-screening should consider, but is not limited to, the following:

• Diagnosis or possibility of actinic keratosis, melasma, rosacea, skin cancer, active infections, cold sores, open wounds, rashes, burns, inflammation, eczema, or psoriasis
• Predisposition to keloid formation or excessive scarring
• Conditions that compromise the immune system, such as HIV, lupus, scleroderma, or systemic infections
• Sensitivity to light or use of photosensitizing agents or medications
• Use of systemic steroids (e.g., prednisone, dexamethasone), which should be avoided before and during treatment
• Use of retinoids, which should be avoided at least 2 weeks prior to and during treatment
• Patients undergoing isotretinoin acne treatment or similar medications
• Skin still recovering from cosmetic procedures like chemical or mechanical peels or laser resurfacing
• Recent botulinum toxin injections or dermal fillers within the past 2 weeks

Expected responses to treatment may include erythema, edema, itching or dryness, increased skin sensitivity, pain or discomfort, and petechiae.
